To navigate difficult emotions effectively, it's essential to engage a different aspect of our mind. This presentation will explore strategies from the evidence-based model of Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT), designed to help individuals detach from challenging emotions, stay grounded in the present, and take purposeful actions aligned with their core values. We will also share case studies highlighting how these strategies have supported both educators and students in managing emotional challenges.

Participants will be able to identify strategies to unhook from difficult emotions
Participants will be given tools to help manage stressful emotions
Participants will learn how general problem solving strategies may increase difficult emotions
